Tim Brando Comes to Fort Walton Beach

Veteran sports broadcaster, sports talk show host Tim Brando to headline All Sports Fish Fry

He’s affectionately referred to as “Timmy B,” and he affectionately refers to his broadcasting studio for The Tim Brando Show on Sirius XM Radio’s College Nation as “Chateau Brando.” On Feb. 12, 2015, All Sports Association invited guests will get a little glimpse of what’s behind the curtain at “Chateau Brando,” as sports broadcaster Tim Brando will be headlining the 2015 All Sports Fish Fry at the Northwest Florida Fairgrounds.

“I can’t wait to get down to Fort Walton Beach to honor this year’s Wuerffel Trophy recipient and meet all the folks who support Danny,” said Brando.

The legendary broadcaster follows a recent list of “who’s who” to have headlined the event, including Mack Brown, Steve Garvey, Mickey Andrews and Gene Stallings.

Although this will be Brando’s first time at an All Sports Association event, Brando’s no stranger to the mission, as he has served on the Wuerffel Trophy’s National Selection Committee since the award’s inception in 2005.

Brando has been an invaluable member to “Team Wuerffel,” assisting with video testimonials, conducting interviews and promoting the award with his platform in college sports media.

“We are so excited to have Tim Brando here as part of the 46th Annual All Sports festivities,” said Coy Browning, 2015 president of the All Sports Association. “He is one of the most talented and sought after names in sports broadcasting, ” he added.

After a long, storied career with ESPN and CBS, in 2014 Brando joined FOX Sports. Since becoming a part of the FOX Sports team, he has covered PAC 12 football, including the PAC 12 Championship Game, NCAA College Basketball, including headline games in the powerful BIG EAST conference, and the National Football League on “The NFL on FOX.”

In 2014, Brando was honored by the Knoxville Quarterback Club with the prestigious Lindsey Nelson Award, presented annually to a distinguished sportscaster who has selflessly promoted the game of college football and bettered the game in doing so.

It is expected that Brando will bring to the Emerald Coast some of his thoughts and opinions on college football, will interview some of the special guests in attendance and take questions from the audience.

The Fish Fry is open to the All Sports Association’s corporate sponsors, current All Sports Association award winners, All Sports Association members and their families, and other invited guests.
