In her high school career, Emma Rudman has earned nine state medals in cross country and track, including a state championship in the 3,200 meter run at the 2014 3A FHSAA Track and Field State Meet. In that same meet, she took second in the 1,600 meter run with a time of 4:53, which remains one of the fastest high school times in the state. She also individually medaled twice in cross country, placing 10th her freshman year and 4th her sophomore year. She holds three individual records at her school, as well as three relay team records.
Emma is the 2015 Wendy’s High School Heisman Scholarship State Winner and has been recognized three times by the All Sports Association. In 2013, she was its Runner of the Year and in 2014, she earned both Track and Field Athlete of the Year and overall female Athlete of the Year. She was also the 2014 Northwest Florida Daily News female athlete of the year, and has received numerous smaller recognitions from the paper.
In addition to competing in two high school sports, she has remained an active member of Coast Aquatics, a year-round swimming team.
Emma is currently No. 6 in a class of nearly 400 students and has a 4.49 GPA. In her free time, she helps out in a church soup kitchen and teaches and mentors young swimmers on her team.
Through the efforts of our annual banquet & summer golf tournament, we help fund numerous worthwhile sports organizations & charitable causes. Our primary beneficiaries are the Boys & Girls Club of the Emerald Coast, Special Olympics Florida- Okaloosa, Eleanor J. Johnson Youth Center and Okaloosa Walton FCA.
