The All Sports Association is proud to name University of West Florida (UWF) offensive lineman Dalton Simpler as the Male Collegiate award winner.
Dalton is a graduate of Freeport High School and a senior at UWF. He anchors the UWF offensive line, helping his team to a 12-2 record and the NCAA Division II National Semifinals. UWF was the Gulf South Conference Co-Champion for the second consecutive season.
Simpler was named First Team All-American by the Division 2 Conference Commissioner’s Association (D2 CCA). He is a two-time First Team All-Gulf South Conference selection, earning the honor at center in 2021 and guard in 2022. Simpler is the first Argo ever to earn First Team All-America Honors from the D2 CCA, which is voted on by the nation’s Division II Sports Information Directors. Simpler has been a solid performer throughout his career, starting all 25 games in the past two seasons. He was a finalist for the Gene Upshaw Award, which is awarded to the best lineman, offensive or defensive, in NCAA Division II college football.
