Walton and Niceville High School standout Juanyeh Thomas continues to make his presence known on the gridiron following a stand-out career at Georgia Tech, where he was a mainstay on defense and special teams.
In his final season at Georgia Tech, Thomas started all 12 games at safety to close his collegiate career with 27-consecutive starts. In his 4-year collegiate career, Thomas played in all 47 games with
33 starts.
He graduated from Georgia Tech in December 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in literature, media and communication.Thomas was the All Sports 2022 Male Collegiate Award winner. In recognition of his outstanding collegiate career, Thomas was invited to play in the 2022 Hula Bowl College All-Star game. After going unselected in the 2022 NFL Draft, Thomas signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent. He did not make the final roster, but afterwards joined the practice squad. After impressing in the 2023 preseason, including recording an interception against Jacksonville in the Cowboys’ first preseason game, Thomas made the Cowboys’ final roster.
In his NFL regular season debut against the New York Giants in week one, Thomas blocked a field goal that resulted in the Cowboys’ first touchdown in their 40–0 win. Through week 15, Thomas had played in 13 games, recording 11 solo tackles.
