The All Sports Association proudly welcomes professional football player Michael Carter as our 2023 Professional Award winner.
Michael played high school football at Navarre, where he was an outstanding running back and Class 6A Florida Player of the Year. Michael then spent four seasons at the University of North Carolina. He is now a member of the New York Jets, after being selected by the Jets in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Michael finished his college career at North Carolina with 3,404 rushing yards, 82 pass receptions, and 28 touchdowns. In his senior season, Michael was team Captain, Paul Hornung Award Finalist, Pro Football Focus (PFF) All-American, Associated Press All-American and All Atlantic Coast Conference.
Michael is doing well in his second season with the Jets. “He’s so mature, he gets everything,” Jets Running Backs Coach Taylor Embree said of Carter. “Whatever the task is, he steps up and shows his maturity, and he just wants to win. He doesn’t care what it is. He wants to win football games.”
